When Did We Start Flying Flags At Half Mast For Senators...?

Seems we've been doing it for awhile. We did it for Lautenberg and Byrd and now we are doing it for Feinstein.

Kind of surprised and honestly I don't believe a senator should rate that kind of honor. Wondering how long we've been doing this for senators.

PS: Please don't turn this into a "glad they are dead" thread, I assume that is why the other one is locked.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

I never have, and not planning on starting either.

It disturbs me that on a pro-gun site such as M4C (I mean hell, it's a GUN website after all) that a thread got locked because of negative comments about the demise of one of the biggest ANTI-GUN legislators in recent memory.

To the point of the OP, I think they can order flags to be flown at half-staff for just about anything......gubment institution flags that is, they can't dictate what you or I do with ours.

Is there a national law on it? It seems like the flags in Colorado are at half mast a lot. She was also a current US senator, which I think makes it a little bit different. It’s just not an issue that I think that much of?
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

That's why eliminating exemptions from laws would be such a good thing.

feinstein's crap had exemptions that not all of us received so not everyone views her actions in the same light.
