H2 vs T2

My brother in law really wants an H2 over the T2 as he has no need for night vision. Is the H2 the same optic without night vision? Would you have any reservations recommending an H2?

According to Wayne Dobbs, a Regional Government Sales Manager for Aimpoint:

The difference between the T-2 and H-2 is night vision compatibility. The T is and the H isn't. It's my understanding that the submersibility rating is different because the T-2 (being an NSN item) has been formally tested for that and the H-2 hasn't (at least formally in the mil-spec style protocol). Buy either one and be happy. They're excellent sights.
