    Zenith ZF-56

For those who don't know, Zenith was the importer of the MKE roller-lock firearms before Century took over their import and dropped the price of MP5 type firearms significantly. They then started making their own MP5 variants. Unfortunately for them, the prices of these firearms have dropped considerably since they started making them. I previously purchased a MKE 5.56x45 "pistol" that I made into an SBR. It's a really nice rifle and I'm surprised that Century never continued their import. Well, it now appears that Zenith is going to start making a 5.56x45 roller-lock, but it's updated with more modern features like a top rail, bolt hold open, and it of course takes AR15 magazines. The concept seems pretty interesting, so I'm looking forward to fondling one in real life.

IMHO, they would have been better off making an HK33 pattern but with picatinny top rail and forearm on an otherwise legacy styled receiver. Maybe with AR mags if it didn’t screw up the design too much. I’m AR’d out and suspect many are. A real alternative would be great. Like the AUG, Tavor, and Ace. Not just a pseudo AR. Had an actual HK93 years ago. Liked it a lot. Beyond that I think they would be wise to focus on making and marketing their firearms as a quality and US made alternative to MKE and HK. Would love to have an HK quality US made HK legacy platform.

If they make a quality G3 pattern, would buy it. Especially a G3K

My guess is that forged trunnions welded in a stamped receiver are more expensive than a fully machined receiver at the volumes they’ll likely produce.

There is zero market demand signal for that! Maybe a legit G41, but that thing is not that...

I also was lucky enough to snag a MKE Z-43P, I just wish they'd bring in more A3 stocks for them.

But they are already set up for the 33, they just need to bring in 18" barrel handguns.
