I should mention that this does help quite a bit with the issue of parallax or eye positioning when in an awkward position, you then have the top dot that is much more forgiving, now you still have to worry about the offset of the dot and the height over bore limitations which one can argue takes just as much time as finding the proper eye placement, but honestly it really depends on the position your in
