I actually don't think the gas tube is exacerbating the gas coming down the bore in any way. That's simply a "feature" of traditional baffled cans, as they essentially work by trapping gas in the baffles. If you're firing rapidly,the gas doesn't have the opportunity to bleed off through the muzzle and will back up and escape into the breach as the action cycles. Bleeding gas off with a Superlative Arms gas block won't make any noticeable difference here.
I do have Geissele and BCM charging handles, so I'm not sure if they make any difference, but I don't notice any gas escaping via that route. What I mostly notice is gas coming from the ejection port.
