M4 - battery compartment top right
M4s - battery compartment bottom right

    The is for...something idk

PRO has been OK in my limited experience. I liked the M3 more but I haven't done a side by side in years and don't have any access to PROs anymore.

I had a PRO for a lot of years and it is a great optic, but in their lower priced range, I would go Duty RDS.
I have to think that Duty optic has the T1 technology built into it but they can't really or dont want to admit its just about as good for a fraction of the price. Changed some cosmetics slightly and claimed less in data but in reality pretty much a T1. I might have to try my luck.

Did you change the mount out?

I considered the COMP M5 and the T2 for a long time, but I could never go through with buying one. I'm just not a fan of red dots with small lenses. If Aimpoint could do something with larger lenses than what is on their COMP M4 that would interest me, but they seem to be sticking with the tiny lenses.

And I'd probably be happy enough with the lens size of the COMP M4, but it's probably in need of some updates as it's an older Gen optic at this point.

The mount that it came with is surprisingly good. However, I replaced it with an ADM QD mount. I prefer a QD mount on all my rifles.

If you look at the comparison data. They are all very comparable. 50,000 battery hrs or 80,000. Same difference. The Comp M4’s are still top shelf. It might be the best. When they went smaller something had to give.

Yes Sir. Same footprint as the T1/T2, however, it sits a bit higher.

If you were to go with the Duty RDS, this is a good deal. Just select one of the two mounts.
