I Am Now The Deadliest Person On The Planet...

Special explosive, heat seeking, armor piercing teflon self actuating buzz saw ammo was made available to the public briefly from 1991 to 1993 before it was decided that it made ordinary firearms too deadly.

Anecdotes from emergency room surgeons about how these round cut all major arteries and vessels and surgically destroyed every internal organ beyond repair were common. It was a well known internet fact that if you shot somebody with a single round on the door step of the emergency room with a surgical team on standby they still didn't have a change.

Was going through my boxes of gun stuff from the 90s and among the assault vests, cantilever mounts with Trijicon reflex II sights and three point slings I found this box of gold. Definitely going in the bug out bag.

Cool find. I have some minus the box, a friend gave me some years back. I remember the giant stink over the things. Just another HP round, but some crazy hype by the media.

Aren't those the bullets Gene Simmons' character used in "Runaway"?

I shot about 3 boxes of this into wet sand about 10 years ago. Most of it opened up and the jacket peeled off the lead. I held onto the copper stars for several years, but I have no idea where they wondered off too. Fed fine, and every one of them went bang and the slide locked back on last round of every mag. If they didnít separate, they probably would have been some good rounds.

I have a few 357 magnum rounds left, I can only guess every single one of those bad boys would seperate.

One of the reloading vendors at(iirc) National Gun Day shows had the projectiles(seems like 9mm or .357) 5 or 6 years after all the stir.

Cool - 90's ammo! I still have some boxes of that Black Talon. Also have some PMC Starfire, which I believe was their answer to it. Anyone remember Hornady Vector ammo?

I did the same with some Ranger Ts in 45acp, they didnít separate, and damn did they make a nasty looking projectile. Iíll have to try to find them.

I worked with a guy at the PD who carried a S&W 1006 loaded with those talons. I remember one of the older officers shaking his head and telling everyone how those would go right through our vests. Oh, and I have my old Trijicon RX-06 (tritium freshly renewed) on my HD gun. Reliable as a brick and gets the job done.
