Lots of LEOs went to them when they became exclusive to LE in 1993. Except for the SWAT guys who seemed to be committed to Golden Sabers for some reason. Nice round but really no different than the rest. Personally I've been Hydra Shocks since the mid 80s, before that I was Glaser safety slugs but they started to get harder to find.

Bug out bag was another reference joke. Back in the 90s we all thought bug out bags were some kind of "forever" solution when in reality it a "week to a month" before you are really and truly homeless.

If it gets bad my house become Fort Alamo for as long as I can hold it. If it gets really bad, I may or may not try and take over the local Wal Mart.

Take over the local Walmart FIRST, before it gets emptied and raided. Then you have even more supplies.

Depending on threat level, that's the plan. But I gotta be able to take and hold it. Then I have to fortify that glass fort somehow.

Ah, there's some good memories. I loaded those up in my P226 when they first came out and felt very confident as a cop on patrol. They were amazing. One round could knock crackhouse completely off of it's blocks. They would do more damage to an engine block than an armor piercing 50 Cal.. If you shot at someone and missed, just the shockwave of the round passing them would knock them down. I heard of people getting hit and just evaporating into thin air. Amazing times.

An industry friend told me that when Winchester dropped the name Black Talon and started the SXT line, the internal joke was SXT stood for "Same eXact Thing".

I think they only changed the coating of the projectile. So that's pretty accurate.

The "newer" version, Ranger T 127 gr +P+, is still pretty popular in LE. At least in the south.

Even though it's prone to clogging.
