He, and that bastard McNamara, were terrified that they'd actually have to do anything in Cuba, and objectively left our position weaker in regards to the Soviets than it had been before the Missile Crisis. (we withdrew weapons from Turkey, and also ensured Cuba was an involatile base for further communist aggression in the Western Hemisphere) And that was on top of allowing the Wall to be built in Berlin, and setting up the Cuban exiles for failure (and ensuring it did fail)

I do like the use of the submarines. That is definitely going asymmetrical on them. They don’t have any real ability to threaten that platform.
