Interesting timing you bring this up. I’m considering that new Marlin 1895 Dark Series lever action in either 30-30 or 44 mag. Not quite as progressive as you’re thinking I don’t think, but similar concept.

Let's make the lever action take STANAG mags if possible too. Since IIRC at least here in WA lever and bolt actions aren't "assault weapons"... hell, right now I'm starting to agree with a local buddy who's talking about a side-charger no-gas-system "bolt action AR." Not seeing a Poly Receiver holding up on a Lever Gun, at least on a centerfire gun; the lever pinning itself to frame would wallow out in pretty short order, depending on design the locking lugs will likely directly bear on poly receiver, which locks bolt under recoil.

A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
