Thought experiment!! Let’s design a obnoxiously non-traditional lever action!

This is for fun, so save the “I don’t see the point? Why not get an ar” stuff

    1. Polymer receiver. Because plastics are better according to Glock
    2. Carbon barrel threaded with compensator ports with a rotary sleeve to block ports while suppressing
    3. Short polymer stock. Optional pistol grip
    4. Integrated direct red dot mount
    5. Qd slots
6Wilcox style battery powered rail for accessories
    7. 9.8 blackout lol

    What else?

Box magazine fed, from the side or top. Rotating bolt.

The world needs a lever action BREN.

Interesting timing you bring this up. I’m considering that new Marlin 1895 Dark Series lever action in either 30-30 or 44 mag. Not quite as progressive as you’re thinking I don’t think, but similar concept.

Make it a poly 80% and jig, just to make the "ghost gun" crowd piss their frilly pink panties.

That is actually a pretty sexy setup. The Marlin has long needed a good polymer stock option. Looks very interesting.

Let's make the lever action take STANAG mags if possible too. Since IIRC at least here in WA lever and bolt actions aren't "assault weapons"... hell, right now I'm starting to agree with a local buddy who's talking about a side-charger no-gas-system "bolt action AR." No gas block, no tube, completely unported barrel.

Make it as obnoxious as possible about complying with the letter of the law while chaining cement blocks around the spirit and throwing it into the deepest sewage tank we can find to drown in shit.

Kel tec style dual mag tubes.

    Fluted barrel with magna ports.

    .410 / 45 LC.

    Double set 2 lb trigger.

Not seeing a Poly Receiver holding up on a Lever Gun, at least on a centerfire gun; the lever pinning itself to frame would wallow out in pretty short order, depending on design the locking lugs will likely directly bear on poly receiver, which locks bolt under recoil.
    Yeah, I’m a killjoy.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
