Nikki Haley dropping out of GOP presidential race

Former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley is suspending her bid for the Republican presidential nomination, according to CBS News sources familiar with the matter.

Haley is to deliver remarks to the press Wednesday morning in Charleston, in her home state of South Carolina.

The news comes just hours after former President Donald Trump won commanding victories across nearly all the states holding Republican nominating contests on Super Tuesday, according to CBS News projections. Exit polls showed Trump leading Haley among broad segments of the GOP electorate, with voters saying immigration and the economy were their most important issues.

I could see her billionaire Dem donors buying her off to run as an independent. A big chunk of fraudulent votes diverted to her from Trump would mean less cheating needed on the Dem side. Shift blame for a Trump loss to “that rogue woman.”

The GOPe would solemnly insist it was an honest loss and return to corruption as usual.

Does it matter now? Trump WILL be the nominee, so yes. We don't have to like it. It's what it is. Look... Back in 2016, I was Ted Cruz all the way until he dropped out. Trump is who we have now. Take out the emotion, and he's done a darn good job. I can live with the mean tweets. I'll take him over any RINO like Romney or Haley. No, I don't care about Ukraine. CLOSE THE BORDER.
