Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War...

Can't recommend it strongly enough. Documentary series on NF.

Amazingly comprehensive and detailed. Stuff NOBODY talks about like the fact that there was a girls camp only 40 miles from the blast site during the Trinity test and they all got severe fallout and none lived past the age of 30.

A incredibly detailed history of Lenin, the Russian revolution and it's wholesale extermination of entire classes of people which is only trumped by Stalinism and how his gulag system was the first mass slave labor camp for undesirables in the millions who were used as disposable labor by Stalin.

Pretty much everything told from all sides including a reminder that while women, children and the elderly were victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japanese empire was preparing to meet US soldiers on the beach with women, children and the elderly armed only with bamboo spears if necessary.

This one really isn't pulling any punches.

If you've seen Trinity - The Atomic Bomb movie, you will still learn some things.

Holy shiite Batman, that's fvcked up! Wonder how that got explained away to history? Also wonder if there have been numerous lawsuits filed over the years......one of those "agreement reached out of court so the aggrieved parties will not disclose the terms of the settlement".

Given the time I suspect it was more "Pursuant to the Internal Security Act of 1950, if you say anything about this, or about us shooting your kids up with radioactives, you will be charged with Espionage and fast-tracked to the chair."

The problem was the Trinity site was in southern New Mexico near Bingham in a not entirely unpopulated area.

The girls camp is interesting, but I’d like to see some kind of comparison to an area like that relative to the Japan bombs and what that effect was.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

There used to be a really good nuke simulator website, though it may have died when Adobe killed Flash. When I get back to the laptop I'll see if I can find it and if Trinity is one of the included samples.

The girls were playing with radioactive ash thinking it was snow. It was outside the declared "secure zone" but we didn't understand a lot of things related to an atomic blast, we had never done one before.
