    Wait...my Ruger isn't a LEGIT SCAR?

    Dammit.

FN is reminding me of the time when Games Workshop tried to sue the entire rest of the gaming industry out of business claiming they had an exclusive trademark on tabletop miniatures games... didn't work out well for them either.

Colt tried and failed to trademark "M4".

Even better was the time Todd Bailey posted on various HK forums that he was in the process of buying HK (I think he meant he was going to buy A Hk) and once he owned the German manufacturer he was going to shut down all unauthorized HK websites.

Already talked about this at length in the SFAR thread, but I'll reiterate my thoughts here: f@ck FN. I love my SCARs, always will. My favorite guns, by far. FN's other products are also stellar in my opinion, from the M240 down to the FNX. Hell, I still think they made a better AR than Colt ever did. But this is just stupid. I hate Ruger, and would love to piss on Bill Ruger's grave one day, but I really hope Ruger counter sues for frivolous lawsuit.
It's f*****g great, putting holes in people, all the time, and it just puts 'em down mate, they drop like sacks of s**t when they go down with this.

I’m no fan of SCAR either, but I really like my Ruger SFAR. Reasonably priced, battlefield accuracy. Nice and light. Mine is 16” version.

I won’t say if it will ultimately last 10/20/30K rounds, but I really doubt it will see half that in my lifetime, as I have .223 and 7.62*39 for that. This gun is built light…pretty solid, but lighter than the typical AR-10, so for an old guy like me, lighter is better on the joints as far as lifting/carrying is concerned. Recoil isn’t near as bad as a 12 gauge auto with trap loads, and I can shoot that all afternoon.

If you get a chance to handle one, i think it will surprise you.

Dude's a troll an an ss, and if he seriously tried I'd PAY to see the smackdown the German gov put on him. They ain't about to let THEIR International Merchant of Death have anything to do with anyone so gauche and declasse as an Amerikaner prole at the helm...

So, SF-AR infringes on SC-AR, but where does B-AR put SC-AR?
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Isn't this what Dick Swan/ARMS used to do?
