Humans, generally but with exceptions, are shitty. They are shitty by default. It's the standard. The typical, normal condition. However many are bred around the world the majority are shitty. Thus, the more people, the more shitty people.

I'm very cautious not to completely disagree with you. And with much of the world living under various forms of statism or beholden to extremist religious views, I do get your point. But humans as a whole seem to be more civilized than any other species. Even in the worse places you can find people trying to do the right thing and live as decent humans. But again, we have far too many of the other kind.
