    Happy Lexington and Concord Day

This Day in History: On this day in 1775, the first shots of the American Revolutionary War were fired at the battles of Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts. These skirmishes between colonial militia and British troops marked the beginning of the war for American independence.

“Stand your ground. Do not fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”

    - Captain John Parker to his Minute Men, Lexington Green, 19 April 1775 when the British were coming to confiscate the Colonist’s firearms.

Covers the build up, several players involved, events during the night, and successes and losses made the next day.

Those Brave-Men that took a Stand on 19 April 1775 probably (and rightfully) throw-up in their mouths every time they think about 'us' and the UN-Constitutional and UN-Just Gun Laws that we tolerate.

The shit that we have allowed disqualifies 'us' from even being worthy enough to clean horse shit from their boots. - Bob Reed
Gun-control is created by scum-tyrants, enforced by oath-breakers and supported by fools that's too ignorant to understand the Importance of being Armed.

When America was a "free country", people could mail order machine guns without question - and that's how it should still be.

I'd rather beat a bad guy to death with my Browning Hi-Power, than shoot him dead with a 'plastic' pistol.

    April 19...

Didn't want to hijack the Lexington post, but this day has lots of "events."

1985 - Two hundred ATF and FBI agents lay siege to the compound of the white supremacist survivalist group The Covenant, the Sword, and the Arm of the Lord in Arkansas; the CSA surrenders two days later.

1993 – The 51-day FBI siege of the Branch Davidian building in Waco, Texas, USA, ends when a fire breaks out. Seventy-six Davidians, including 18 children under age 10, died in the fire.

1995 – Oklahoma City bombing: The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, USA, is bombed, killing 168 people including 19 children under the age of six.

These events, as well as Ruby Ridge (August 21–31, 1992) and a couple others, are all directly related. Obviously the OKC bombing was deliberately done on the same day as Waco. But interesting that the CSA raid just happened to be on the same day.

I read your post and then happened upon this. I don't think it was a coincidence that it was posted today.

Twenty-nine years after killing 168 people in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City — the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history — Timothy McVeigh is dead and buried.
But the extremism that fueled his hate on April 19, 1995, is alive and unencumbered in today’s conservative movement.

    It goes on, but...

I think of McVeigh as connecting the eras of white domestic terrorism that characterized the 20th century and the more recent strain of extremism infecting the MAGA movement.
In 2017, the Southern Poverty Law Center reported on a disturbing trend of “McVeigh worship” playing out in extremist circles.
And during a Democratic-led House hearing two years ago on the trend of veterans embracing violent extremism — as was the case during the Jan. 6 insurrection — the Oklahoma City bombing’s toxic influence as a source of inspiration came up, as well. (McVeigh was a decorated veteran of the Persian Gulf War.)
Nearly 30 years after McVeigh’s deadly bombing, Republicans — even those in Oklahoma — seem to have learned the wrong lessons. Instead of rejecting violent extremism and rooting it out of their ranks, they’ve just devised ways to use it to their advantage.

Man they just dont get it and aparently they are asking for more.

    It's worldwide, from wiki:

"1942 – World War II: In German-occupied Poland, the Majdan-Tatarski ghetto is established, situated between the Lublin Ghetto and a Majdanek subcamp.

1943 – World War II: In German-occupied Poland, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising begins, after German troops enter the Warsaw Ghetto to round up the remaining Jews.

I have to wonder if it isn't a trigger for totalitarians.

McVeigh's name will be like Hitler's, you'll never hear the end of it and ANY actions by the Right will be finger-pointed to one (or both) of those names. Forget what the Left is doing, forget that no one that I know supports the actions of either asshole nor speaks well of Adolph and Tim, just keep pounding it home nonetheless.

Taxation blah, blah, blah, representation, blah blah blah. You're coming for the guns.... game on.

Lexington and Concord- the original and biggest FAFO.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Yeah, everyone knows McVeigh, almost NOBODY can name the founders of the Weather Underground. But McVeigh is a perfect example of what I'm always talking about when people talk about a civil war 2.0, he really did think he was a patriot, he really did think he was fighting against a tyrannical government but in the end what he mostly managed to do was kill a bunch of people in OKC who were lucky enough to have basic government jobs with ok benefits and some kids in a day care.

He did virtually NOTHING to the Clinton administration, Janet Reno, the FBI or the ATF other than give them justification for bigger budgets and expansion of power.
