Non-Serrated. It cuts like butta. The Emerson serrations are too difficult to properly sharpen all my Emersons are non-serrated and I love them I have three.

I'd prefer the Commander non-serrated.
My vote is for serrated. The recurve of the blade will help the serrations rip and tear.
+1 for serrated.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
JHP's are good times, for bad people.
Non Serrated. I use my Emerson as defense knives and not work knives. If I need serrations I just use my leatherman.
+1 serrated.
IMHO straight edge if you are planning on cutting open people, boxes etc.
serrated edge if you cut a lot of rope, stripping wire.
Serrated edges don't like tape (they'll cut it but you end up with goo and tape on your blade), don't cut through boxes as well, don't skin hide.
That said my EDC is a wire stripping serrated edge, my serious shtf knives are all straight edge.
So it depends on what you are using it for.

How about combo edge. 70% plain and 30% serrated. Like having your cake and eating it too.![]()
Cold Zero
Mr. E suggests the partially serrated blade. I own quite a few Emersons and 1 of my daily EDC's is always a combo edge. I usually also carry an Emerson with a Zero Grind- which is sharp enough to split atoms!
BUY IT CHEAP AND STACK IT DEEP
