I was looking at this stuff also. If their not lying about it being DOD contract, it can't be too bad for the price. I'd guess it'll have to be at least as good or better than Wolf.

I'd want to see more details on who exactly made this ammo. The SG advertisement is conspicuously vague.

Call them and ask them what the headstamp is.

    Not in stock

I tried putting this in my cart to see what the shipping would be, but it is out of stock until February.

You might want to check out www.surplusammo.com, they have 1,000 rds. of Federal XM193 (bulk packed) for $379.99 + shipping. I celebrated the impending inauguration by ordering a case. On another thread a member had bought some and said it is good to go, first quality Federal Lake City 2008 production.

Even if it's DOD contract, that's no guarantee that it's good. Just ask Iraqgunz about some of the DOD contract guns he's seen over there.

Let's not forget that ammo that gets rejected does so for a variety of reasons. Not saying that is the case here, but one must always be a little skeptical. I would seek out a known source and just stick with it.

I know it's been posted before but what about silver bear or wolf for training purpose? I need about 2K rounds. Will steel case, polymer bullets damage my barrel?
