    Who's heard of this aimpoint?

I was just seeing what midway had for aimpoints when I stumbled upon a model I've never seen or heard of. Seen here. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=119389

I'm not looking at getting one, I'm just curious about what they are and why this model isn't normally available in the United States.

    This is interesting:

One 3.6 Volt, AA-size, Lithium battery (not replaceable by user)

This is the Aimpoint CS sight that is used by the Swedish military. These were sights left over from that procurement. These sights are "new in box" not surplus. There are a limited number available so once sold they are gone.

FJB, thanks for the info on the rarely seen model. Just out of curiousity, why did they spec a non-user replaceable battery setup? Weather concerns?

    Cool

Neat! I especially like the integral BUIS (albeit w/a very short sight radius). I wonder if Aimpoint USA would service them?

Aimpoint, Inc (USA) will service the CS sights.

Not sure why a non-replaceable battery other than a Swedish military requirement. However, it can be replaced at the factory if required.

This a great sight and deal. Again this is a one time only sale as they were production over runs. They won't be offered again.

    Question

I don't know why but I find myself tempted...
Couple of questions: What kind of switch & its location and where are the windage/elevation adjustments? Thx!...
