Opinions on mag carriers for carbine courses?

As I'm busily trying to pay off school and pick up reloading gear so I can start training this year, it occurred to me that I have no idea how I'm going to carry extra magazines for whatever course I take. I snuck home an Eagle M4 LE chest rig, which holds three mags, but I've started to really wonder about its utility. I'm not in law enforcement or the military, so aspirations aside I'm simply a civilian who wants to learn how to fight with his firearms who has one handgun course to his name. I've got the guns, the mags, and I'm working on the ammo, but that's about it.

So I wanted to hear you guys' opinions on the main ways to carry magazines: belt pouches, chest rigs, plate carriers, pockets, and rigs like the TT 2-piece MAV. Pros and cons would be excellent.

There is a million ways you can carry your mags at a class. Honestly, I would stick with the rig you have now and do a few classes with it. Figure out if you like or not and then go from there.
