I dont see why they couldn't just stick another turret on the left side with a small watch battery for illumination like a Nightforce optic. That would pretty much negate the only short coming it has.

I would like a bullet drop reticle as well.

I'd like to see them make the triangle reticle more like a true German reticle with brackets on the side, that would kick some butt.

I just happen to be looking into a TR24 and been torn between the triangle and the dot - this has been a great thread. Make sense for me to go with the triangle since this will be a short range(mainly 1x) and rarely going beyond 200m.

For those with a triangle reticle - do you find it precise enough to shoot groups at 100 yards to evaluate differences in ammunition?

Yes, the reticle is very sharp/precise.

Well I decided to go with the green triangle - will give a range report shortly.

One thing I noticed about the green triangle reticle. Its no problem if you are outdoors in lush green environment as the reticle looks 'radioactive green' but when looking into a lush green area from a shaded or indoor position the reticle becomes a dark green and is hard to pick out from the surrounding vegetation, the verticle black lines do help a little though.

I kinda wish I had a red one to test out

Would using the lower post in the German #4 Crosshair do for shooting at [some] distance; i.e., can it be used like the lower post on some Leupold models?

As an example, my Leupold 3x9 Compact sighted is in at ~250 Yds. Using the lower post (at 9 power) for sighting works very well on the 400M gongs and can be used for hits at 500M with moderate holdover. It's just a poor-boy 3-gun setup, but works for me. (It's on a .308, btw.)

Just wondering if anyone has tried the Crosshair Accupoint lower post in a similar way.
