The only old school consumer washing machine I found only does large loads. Somehow that passes government regulations, but giving you a water level switch does not. Now every load I do takes a full measure of detergent and water no matter its size. Bureaucratic idiocy!
Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.

Exactly, when I'm using a gas can and it's on the side of the road in less than ideal situations, I don't want to do anything more than put a spout in the gas tank and start filling. Hell I don't even want to do all that bullshit when I'm filling my lawn mower on a sunny day.
So you know what happens? All that safety valve shit comes off and I use a funnel to get it in the lawn mower. It's not ideal and I spill more than a little gas but it's better than their pull, then push, then pour nonsense they invented.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.
