I just set my AR up with a AIMPOINT C3 and a american defense (ADM) quick detach mount with a 1/3 co-witness and love it. I think you will be happy with AIMPOINT the battery life is 50,000 hrs compared to the eotech at 600 max. The eotechs have been having some quality issues i have been hearing so that steered me away from the eotechs. You cant go wrong with an AIMPOINT as anyone on here will tell you. I also went with the TROY buis. Good luck with your choice.

I wrote Magpul with the question regarding the melting on a gas block. The reply I received is that under minimum fire situations it may be O.K., but that they do not recommend the Front MBUIS on a gas block system. For those of you that were curious like myself, their answer is it's not suited.
