The pic on the left is what i see 1/2 the front post in my optic. So i take it i have an absolute co-witness.

An absolute co-witness is when the red dot from your optic sits exactly on the top of the post of your irons, when viewed with correct front/rear irons alignment.

I use and absolute co-witness when I have flip up front and rear BUIS, with a fixed front sight post, I use a riser lifting the optic for a lower 1/3 co-witness so that the FSP doesn't clutter the view through the optic.

The problems with taking pics of these is that the camera like to focus on one of the object rather than the 4 objects your eye is seeing.

    Here you go:

This is an EOTech on a LaRue riser, carbine is a 14.5" with a fixed front sight post and approximates the idea of a 1/3 co-witness

This is an EOTech mounted right to the receiver and the carbine has a PRI flip up front BUIS, this approximates the idea of an absolute co-witness

I left the rear sight down in both pictures as they obscures the dot and front sight post...

Thanks for the pics. I would like to see an aimpoint with this setup also.
