just look to the med section discussion (http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=25255) to see why this place is special. it's informative, insightful, respectful, and displays a concerted effort by most participants to bring first-hand knowledge to as many members as possible.
"you give peace a chance, I'll stay here and cover you, in case it doesn't work out"
An ant in the afterbirth, a slug in the sun, when compared to the credos some of you guys have.
But it gives me the distinct HONOR of being able to communicate here. And I can say that I have learned a great deal here and that when certain members open or post in a thread, others just have to read it.
You know like an osmotic "Shut up and you'll learn something" level of respect which we all deserve but only some have earned.
I Thank You

I stumbled upon this wonderfull little site in Afghanistan after I bought my first personal carbine. I must say that I learn something new here everyday about the civilian side of shooting. I'm not going to post any resume type stuff, I just wanted you guys to know that I'm on here daily and will be watching...lol

what did you do in the Navy, TK?
does't matter, you stepped up and served, squid! Which carrier?
Guys -- thanks for sharing the personal info. I know you all spend a lot of time, effort, and money training because I've been (enviously) reading all your AAR's for several years, but beyond that, it's interesting to find out some background on the mods, IPs, and SMEs. There are times I've wondered because I think it helps understand where various opinions are coming from; its always good to know the perpective behind the thoughts.
There are lots of good folks that keep this site ticking and it's appreciated. I hardly ever visit any other sites and glad to call M4C home
