keep in mind that the last year we saw oil costs go to record highs and right before that, raw material costs go to record highs... it's not fair to suggest the gun industry _should_ have bought high, especially given in the same breath the credit crunch began. and look what happened when oil prices went up? the raw material cost went down, they would have hosed themselves trying to bet on an election frenzy that most of us are STILL speculating on even now after the presidency is all said and done.

After an agonizing 8-9 months I was informed my rifle would be shipped today, but there's a catch. I originally ordered a 16.5'' in black but the only guns they have in stock right now ready to ship are 20'' in NP3 coating. Chris offered to send one of them instead so I jumped on it. Chris said the 16.5'' guns would still be a couple more months so I'm just taking what I can get. Even still I may send it to GA precision and have it cut down to a 18'' barrel and put a surefire on it. It would be cool to have the only 18'' POF-308. I'll post pics when it gets here and if i decide to cut it down.

My two, long awaited, .308s arrived today.

    http://www.pof-usa.com/p308/P-308-20...R-C.R.O.S..htm

Haven't had a chance to fire them yet but they were worth the wait and money just to watch all my friends lust over them.

If they shoot half as good as they look, I'm Good-To-Go!

Many Thanks to Frank and Chris !!!

Bingo. As soon as MCCAN'T had the nomination sewn up, I knew the Dems would WIN, even if they ran a jug-eared monkey in a suit on THEIR ticket, and... well... ahem!

I bought my POF-415 from AVGuns in May of '08 with my tax refund! Runs splendidly, I might add! I too, was a gunowner, during the KLIN-TON I insurrection. I learned MY lesson...

I think Frank and Chris are under a lot of pressure to fill back-orders before folks get too upset and start canceling their orders and the LWS (Left Wing Socialist) coming to power has only made a bad situation even worse. I'm hoping POF Succeeds and All the LWS FAIL!!!

And don't forget that very few, if any of these manufactures make ALL of the parts that go into these guns. They are dependent on numerous other manufacturers to supply components to them. If these manufactures out of stock, backlogged, unable to get raw materials, etc-etc-etc then said manufacturer is at a standstill.

It is interesting that they were able to supply a 20" NP3'd barrel. I have had several guns worked on at Robar, and it has ALWAYS Been a long wait for anything from Robbie Barkman's shop.

I hate to use the AWB word but I fear that this problem that we are all in right now will be protracted well into the next AWB, sensible gun control safety act, or what ever they want to call it.

    Gentleman,

    Until that day,
    Darkop
