    MAGPUL UBR?

I have 2 on backorder from 2 different vendors, one of them since October. Anyone else experiencing market latency on this stock? If anyone knows where they are actually available I'd greatly appreciate the heads-up! I was able to find a few LMT SOPMODs as an alternative, but for my next build I was really hoping to go UBR.

This is 100% normal with the UBR. Plan on waiting.

Pretty much anything with a Magpul logo on it is hard to find right now, but the wait is generally worth it. If your on a list, then sit back and relax it'll come.

    Grant,

How deep is your wait list on this product? Is it worth waiting for vs going with SOPMOD's? For lack of a better term, the SOPMOD's seem to be a bit "Plasticy" but I really like the cheek weld. For the money, it seems as if the UBR is worth waiting for. I have both a black and a tan on order, I'm hoping to get them by June when I'm home again on leave.

Not too bad I think (30-50).

What kind of gun are looking to put a stock on?

Setting up a pair of RRA Entry Tacticals. Primarily mid-distance, 100-200m focus for these rifles. These are for new builds, I'm partial to the E-mod in my other setups. I tend to weld closer to the receiver, so the UBR looks great for me. I've never had one in my hands though so I'm going off of what I see in pictures.

Roger. Are you running a can? If not, I don't think I would go with the UBR.

No can. (Anything NFA in Iowa is pretty much unobtainable)

Side note, just orderd a pair of PRS stock combos from you. (Replacing CAA setups on distance rifles). Black was back orderd, but figured I'd get on the wait list.

Good price for the combo! I was pricing out buying the extensions, springs, buffer + stock around $320each and having to do a multi-vendor extravaganza to get it done.

Roger on the no can. UBR's lend themselves to front heavy guns IMHO. So you might do better with the CTR or MOE.

Side question on the SOPMOD and UBR...what do these actually weigh?

I am in the same situation as ryanm in that I have not held a UBR, but am thinking about one for a future build. Just wondering what the actual weight difference is between the SOPMOD and UBR and how they would balance.
