    20 Guage

a friend of mine gave me a Rem 870 20gauge, ive never dealt with 20g and was wondering what would be a good shell for it, im thinking of useing it for a truck gun since it already has the barrel cut to 18".

    give me some ideas, thanks.

I recommend that you try an assortment of the 18-pellet, #2 buckshot offerings from Federal and Remington. Figure out which load patterns the best and has the most manageable recoil in your shotgun. Same with slugs.

    Federal 20 w/plated shot

I think that this is what our good friend John Farnam recommended. It patterns very well, but in a 20 kicks like a 12. It would be my first choice.

    Good shooting!
