    Self Fingerprints

    Hi r/NFA, quick question.

So I am filling out a Form 1 and Form 4 and needed a bit of help with the fingerprints. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread...77#post2345177smash karts had a nice guide to the whole process but I was a bit skeptical about what to fill in for the official taking the prints and the employer/address. If I did them myself can I really sign that I took them and put my address again? Thanks

As someone who rolled fingerprints for years, let me suggest you don't try and roll your own.

Best way to get your NFA package kicked back to you.

Disagree with Steyr on this one… I’ve rolled my own along with my wife’s for years and many forms and anger had an issue. There is a kit on Amazon that holds the print form solid if you need some help but other than that it’s really simple.

ETA - don’t buy the fingerprint sheets. You can get them for free from the fbi website.

I agree with Bluto. I rolled my own and have used the .eft for many successful e-filed forms since. It's very simple to do and there are plentiful resources available to see techniques how to do it.

If you have wrist mobility issues, having someone else roll them may be preferred. Otherwise, go for a home roll if you can.

I followed those instructions and have never had a form kicked back. It's also how I received my prints in an .eft file.

Yes, you can sign that you took the fingerprints. In regard to the Employer and Address section, I've always put my employer's name and address. None of my fingerprint cards have ever been rejected.

I went to the UPS or FedEx store, I forget which, and got an ATF format file so I could just upload it whenever I want.

Not all stores have the electronic finger print machine so check the website before you go if you decide to do that.

If y'all are really capable of rolling full prints, then go ahead. Seen more incomplete, smudge and smear prints than anything else.

It's got to be operator error. Sample of my social circle, but we all roll our own and no one's had anything kicked back. But it's definitely something that's easy to **** up if someone doesn't understand what "roll" means.

I had a real problem with the UPS machine until I figured out that there is contact bar at the bottom of the window that you have to stay in contact with.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.
