I suppose. It's a stamp for a 22 SBR so it's a very low priority item. I am not against waiting. I also don't want to do extra work. I would have to go get more finger print cards since I used up the last of my finger print cards with this stamp and I am not looking forward to have to do that for some reason.

I don't have any insight, but there's clearly more to the story than simply the amount of time the FBI is taking to do the background checks. The background checks are the same regardless of whether it's a Form 1 or Form 4 (perhaps they do a little more for the MG's, but that's not most Form 4's). I think we'd be pretty safe to assume that the FBI isn't sorting through and deciding to take longer on the Form 4's for no real reason. My bet is that it has to do with something that's happening at the ATF.
I stopped trying to understand how the ATF works. This is the second time that his happened to me. Last year, I had three submissions approved between 6/4/18/-6/7/18 that went pending on 7/7/17, 10/7/17, + 10/11/17.
I called in this morning and I had another approval today. That makes for three approvals in 7 days with pending dates spanning from 12/19/17-5/14/18.
