Was this your first tax stamp? Any thing that stands out about yourself or this application that may have made it take longer?

Well....since you asked....;-)
There was this issue with me using the '#' symbol in the S/N area so it got returned (face palm).
Then there was the gubt-shutdown.
And a divorce. New trust....All adds up i guess.

But a year and two months, ouch!

Next one may go a bit faster. Is the consensus that E-file gets faster turnaround?

eFiled F1s are not exempt from the BGC blackhole...but a lot of those that don’t get caught up in it are seeing approvals in 2-3 weeks these days.

I messed up on my fingerprints cards and put city rather that county and as such the ATF for looking for a city that does not exist in the state I live in, going forward my approvals should be a lot quicker.

I stopped trying to understand how the ATF works. This is the second time that his happened to me. Last year, I had three submissions approved between 6/4/18/-6/7/18 that went pending on 7/7/17, 10/7/17, + 10/11/17.

I called in this morning and I had another approval today. That makes for three approvals in 7 days with pending dates spanning from 12/19/17-5/14/18.

That is just crazy! It’s just completely random on something that should be fairly in order. One really has no idea when they will finally get their hands on their paid-for item. Could be tomorrow or it could be never and then you have to go through the hassle of writing letters.

My F4 individual (obsidian 9) check cashed Sep. 6th 2018 which is almost 6months now. I’ve been pretty patient about it but not knowing is the difficult part. My F1 paper sent in same time came back in 90 days

Completely random indeed. Three members here submitted her e-files after me and received their approvals already. I'm still waiting for mine.
