Still waiting on the stamp for my Octane45HD to arrive, 34days post approval. 304 days to approval.

Called ATF and my spectre22 was approved 5/28 so 12 days into the 45 day clock for stamp to arrive at the dealer. 316 days to approval.

My octane9HD is still pending at 284 days so it should be approved in 3-4 weeks extrapolating from above.

Just got back from the FFL with both cans! Got the call just before noon that they got both stamps in. When I look at the paperwork, they had two different examiners. Since they were approved three weeks apart but arrived together, could they just be waiting until they have a bunch of stamps going to the same dealer and then send them all together rather than sending each one individually?

The way it was explained to me is that the examiners are working from home. Approved forms are being delivered to the ATF office once every so-often, where they are then loaded into envelopes and stamped, etc.

    Mine arrived at 44 days.

Is it normal for a dealer to require a 4473 after an NFA item has been approved? That seems like the most absurdly redundant thing!

Was my first time picking up a can, but yeah. They asked me to fill out a 4473 and sign a little paper saying I will lock my guns up if I have a minor in the house.

Didn’t need to run NICS since I have a CCW.

I did not have to on my first batch of cans, but I did on my most recent batch. Same FFL.

Depends on the state. Example in Utah no firearm or NFA item may be transferred without an approval from BCI.
