Thanks for the input. My two mounts (same model) have different adjustment screws. I think one is the early version and the other the new one. Is there an upgrade policy with ADM for the old screw?

I don't know what they policy is for that kind of stuff. Drop them an e-mail and see what they say.

btw, there seems to be two main brands here to look at and each have their merits. I appreciate the input, but don't want this turning into something else.

I have no experience with mounts from either place, but i do have experience with other larue products, and i am familiar with their CSR's, and I agree that their responses and assistance have been excellent. I count CSR support pretty high, as it's an indicator of how well a business pays attention to the little details. Right along with that, if a places like Bravo and G&R carries ADM, you have to trust that Paul and Grant are pretty sure of the ADM products.

at least i two excellent products to pick from. more then i had, when i started this thread.

We run ADM and Bobro mounts on all our training weapons. Never had one fail or let us down in any way.

i've drilled, tapped and mounted enough bases to know that I hadn't found a setup yet that gave me a true return to zero. Maybe i haven't looked in the right places; so i'm tossing this out to see if someone can point me in the right direction.

reasoning??? If i need to quickly add a magnified scope, could i do it with a high degree of retained accuracy? This is logically assuming the scope was properly sighted prior to being dismounted. This would be on a BCM M4 upper.

anyone have words of wisdom for me?

    Thanks
Looks like LaRue had a test done for them. I saw this today over at AR15.com:

I'm testing some of these and so far so good-- the machining is impressive.
