I finally got around to calling Justin the other day. He stated that they sometimes do have problems with the 20 rounders because the AR needs a little curve to the magazine (that's contrary to what I've heard before) Anyway he's going to send me another follower to swap out. Maybe that's the problem.

That's a new one on me, too. I'll have to ask Justin what he meant by that on Monday - I think something may have gotten lost in translation there. Either way, let us know how the new follower works!

I have had the same problem with a 20 round PMAG. Will not lock the bolt back at all. Never had a problem with a 30 Round PMAG and since I only use the 20 for zeroing I really don't mind. Love PMAGS

I like to shoot prone so the 20s work for me. The 30s have given me zero problems

I know it's been a while, but was curious what happened with your 20 rounders. I just picked up 2 of them this weekend, and tonight when I went to test them out both of them failed to lock the bolt back almost every time. No problems whatsoever with the thirty rounders though. Thanks

ETA: No big deal as I got them for the benchrest and prone at the range. Just curious if there is an easy fix

I have a 20 round PMAG that has the same issue. It won't lock the bolt back.

All of my other 30 round PMAG's work fine. Is there any quick fix we can do ourselves?

Well, just last week I finally got the follower that Magpul said they would send. It looked identical to the original one. I installed it and, whatya know it worked. I tested it a couple days later and it held back every time.

Thanks Magpul, took ya 3 months, but it works!
