I have a M3 on my rifle that I picked up on ebay brand new for $400.00 I saved $120 bucks then I bought a LaRue mount for $120. Total in optic $520.00. You could come out a little cheaper if you went with the M2, then of course there are the ML Aimpoints that are not NVG compatible and they are a little cheaper.
I have no need for the NVG compatability... ill just throw frags in all directions if its too dark to shoot.

Seems like with the Aimpoint ML and a nice 3x FTS magnifier I could do this for less thn I had anticipated.

I prefer EoTechs over Aimpoints. This is no based on any time kicking down doors or going to war, just off my shooting. I find I can aquire targets more easily and am more accurate with the Eotech. However I do plan on getting a nice Aimpoint for my next build. I figure I should become proficient with both as well as irons.

My rule when purchasing a new weapon is become as completely comfortable and accurate as possible before changing anything on the rifle. Get to know it before you go changing shit.

I am not quite sure I understand what you are saying. I am completely comfortable with Eotech and Iron sights. I am not as familiar with with the Aimpoint, this is why I want to get one.

Doh. I thought you were saying I needed to do that. LOL.. Kinda wondered if I had mis-stated my point.

I like the field of view (with both eyes open) and the 65 MOA ring with the 1 MOA dot on the Eotech better than he 2 MOA Aimpoint dot however the reliability and function of the Aimpoint is unsurpassed. Still not sure whether I want to go 552.A65.1 or Comp M4C. Best,

Yeah C-More is not liked in this forum. But I'm completely happy with the 2 Cmores that I have. Am happy too with the 2 Eotechs and 2 Aimpoints that I own. Go figure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    EOTech

I have been using a EOTech for the last 3 years. I love the thing and have never had mine fail on me. I just got my own personal EOTech and will be installing it on my issued M4 with a 3X. Hitting the range in a few days to try it out.

Its a highly personal choice. I don't like to get sucked into the tube of the M68. I find when doing CQB that with a 68 my vision gets blocked in my non dom eye. But like I said highly personal choice.
