The gun in the linked thread above is an M&P. Anyone know if the same can be/has been done with a Glock with a setup that also allows the rear "iron" on the Trijicon to work with the front post as a BUIS?
i don't know if you can use the front sight as a buis but

here's some glock slides milled for docter.
you can also get a dovetail mount
it seems the ones that are milled don't have front sights and the ones that do are maybe too high mounted to use the front sight

Before mine was milled i was able to get COm hits out to 10 yards using the sight as ghost ring so to speak,. but ye s it should be able too im trying to get a a MRD milled in front of my rear slight slot. to allow a 1/3 cowitness.
I'm thinking MS03 mounted on a G17 slide such that the notch in the optic can be used as a rear sight to align with the stock front sight location, perhaps replaced with a white-outline tritium post?
Any thoughts on 4 MOA vs. 8 MOA?
Bowie has this pic of a G34 on his site but I'm not certain what optic it is. From the profile it looks to be an MS03 or MS04

Rob i have run both i prefer the larger dot as its 8MOA at 100yards not defensive handgun range i have shot poppers out to 100 with mine though its tough as it covers them well up close say 15 yards and in it seams to cover about 2 3 inches ill try and get rough idea for you at the range tomorrow what it covers at distances the smaller dot the seamed to get lost. and bounce more.
Kelly McCann aka Jim Grover has been using one for years.
Looks like I might need a third G19 for a project.![]()

I have been contemplating a Micro dot on my 44 mag, a blackhawk hunter for some time now
It has been said that RDS's take away the romance of having to line up the sights. This is what guys like Pat Rogers state about useing them on a carbine or rifle. Why wouldn't the same appy for a pistol.
I'm not saying I'm gonna run out right now and by one, however, my curiosity is peaked.
As Mr. Freuler stated above, I remember seeing Kelly M. (in a video) running one on his 19 years ago.
Since I just got my 3rd 19 (I couldn't pass it up for the price), maybe I'll give it a shot.![]()
