    Nice to hear that all this medical knowledge is here. Glad I found this forum. Now, for the introduction.....

    NREMT Paramedic practicing in a very rural setting (we dont even have a hospital in the county). BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor. All those other acnacronys that take to many CE hours to keep certified. Currently pursuing my RN just because at 42 years old I want a change? Guess one day Ill decide what I want to do when I grow up!

    Carried an EMT-I card for 10+years now

    Work....

    2 years as a Volunteer firefighter in Northern Ca
    4 seasons as a Wildland Firefighter for the feds. 2 on Engine 2 in Whiskeytown (Broken up with sometime on the prescribed natural wildland crew)
    2 seasons working for CAL Fire
    3 years private Ambulance (about half transport BS and half in a 911 system)
    1 season at Sierra at Tahoe as a Ski Patrolman

    Some of the Ambulance was in the off fire season, so I really have about 7 or 8 years of EMS Tore my left meniscus about 2 years ago and I'm powering through a bulging disk right now (its fun times let me tell ya) so I am not currently working, but I am still taking classes and learning as I go. One of these days I may get a P-card (once my kids are in school so I dont have to watch them so often/much. Anyhow thats a little about me.

    We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
    This day shall gentle his condition;
    And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
    Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
    And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

    Started off in the Army as a 91W Health Care Specialist from 2002-2006. Reclassed to 11B, but was slotted again as a 68W after PDT at Camp Bullis and deployed as a 68W to OIF 08-10. Dealt mostly with sick call rangers and Iraqi motorists with their terrible driving habits.
