    Yup, Oakley assault gloves. They work pretty good, but I like the Outdoor Research overlord gloves more.

    Paul Howe teaches keeping the outside knee up as well. There is more than one way to skin that cat correctly.

    I think all the former delta instructors do. Keep in mind they are all using that technique to pin the rifle between the knee and a barricade-supported hand. if you are popping out from behind the barricade unsupported maybe the other technique is better.
