Here is a cell phone pic of our cat Elliot (age 12) training Madison (age 3) how to pull guard duty. Notice how the dog has her head down, yet the cat is up and alert? The dog still has a lot to learn.

Here is another picture of them fooling around on the job.

Had to take a cell phone picture, because the dog jumps up everytime she hears the camera.

Since we had an empty crate and my wife missed not having a dog around when I travel we took her.

She's not ready for guard dog duty yet but she will be (as much as a hound can be). Here are some pictures I took yesterday:

God Bless you man for adopting her.

I had a female RR when I was a kid and my parents still have [my] two females back at home. One of the current ones we adopted as well. Even though yours has no ridge, she is a pretty dog and its easy to tell what she is. She looks very young too.

These dogs are some of the best kept secrets in the K9 world.

Our kid's pup 3 years ago, Auggie. If it weren't for persistence of vision she would be hard to see. She defines high energy for sure.. We really got attached to this grandpup.

Kneessa that passed in 98 was our last pup.

Just in case this thread sparked anyone's interest in getting a dog...

    www.petfinder.com

It was a great resource when I rescued my current mutt. He's an Akita mix and he's the best dog I've ever had. And I've had more then a few over the years.

Is that a Rat terrier? She is beautiful.

Looks like a real trouble maker.

    Here is the family

Jasmine (German Shep.) and Clover (lab), This is one of my favorite pictures- my shepherd before she passed and the little lab I found while hunting took a liking to each other.

Then our newest, Nikko- The Husky, found him- beat up, dirty, mad/ scared of everything, and missing hair, he has come a long way. The wife dressed him up for Halloween (Vampire).

I adopted a young American Pitbull Terrier from the local county animal shelter. She'd been there longer than they normally keep animals and was due to be destroyed in three days.

I named her Riley, she's approximately 18 months old and a whole lot of energy. She's a sweet girl though.

    Some craptacular Blackberry pics.
