I've got a milspec CTR, commercial CTR, and a milspec Moe. The Moe is on an LMT tube, it is darn near as tight as either of my CTR stocks when they are latched. The clamp on the CTR is ok, but it's not tight like I expected. I will try swapping the milspec CTR on the LMT tube sometime and seeing if that is the difference.

My Daniel Defense rifle came with a MOE stock, and there is no play or wiggle. It locks up tight.

FWIW, the MOE stock on my Noveske/Magpul carbine fits nice and snug also. I really like it but the only minor gripe I've had is the sling attachment points...personally I would have liked a swivel point option.

To me the MOE stocks and grips make the best sense money wise. They don't use 'cheaper' materials or anything like that. The difference is there is no friction lock nor QD loop on them (no big deal to me) and with their MIADs I use the flat front and 2nd largest back piece this happens to be the exact size of the MOE grip.

The MOE stock is also 1/2 and ounce lighter than a CTR. The MOE grips and stocks are nearly 1/2 the price of the MIAD and CTR.

IMO the MOE stock is everything the CTR should have been from the beginning. I don't care about QD sling swivels and the "friction lock" is pointless.

The MOE is simple, functional, and cost effective...I like it.
