Anybody not like the Aimpoint T-1/H1?

I have been torturing myself about going from a EOTech 552 to a H1. I don't need NV and I don't scuba, so the H-1 is probably for me.
But I am still hesitant to go to the H-1 from the Tech. Has anybody gotten a T-1/H-1 and not liked it or hated it? And why?
    Any more comments?

    HC-
All I can say is I just received my 2nd Micro, an H1 this time as the 1st one was a T1.
Owned 3 Eo's (never looked back) & a Leu. CQT which was a VG but heavy & non co-witnessing sight.
Saved some coin on the H1vs. the T1 as I don't use NVGs & should have started w/ an H1. Ah, woulda,
    coulda, shoulda.
    HTH & my mere .02

I would have picked up an H1, but didn't like the somewhat glossy finish and went with a T1. I understand that current H1's are now matte finish and are a great way to save a few bucks.

I have just seem some "lightly used" micros for sale. I was just wondering if some folks didn't like them and why???

    Hail-Caesar:

I am one of those people.

My attempt to switch from a EOTech to a T-1 ended with me selling the T-1 after a month and a half. Battery life and weight savings were the only reasons I considered the T-1.

    With the T-1/LaRue Tall Mount:
1.) I had to have absolute perfect stock placement and cheek weld to see the dot.
2.) The small tube diameter (20mm?) left me searching for the dot.

It may be worth buying a T-1 just to prove to yourself what works better for you.
    I tried: Aimpoint's T-1, and Trijicon's RX30.

I sold the T-1, gave back the RX30, and just got in another EOTech 553 YMMV.

That is what I am worried about and what is holding me back. I would have ordered one if it was not for worry of 'searching for the dot".

Do you have a buddy with a T-1 nearby who can let you check one out? Best thing would be for you to get a little trigger time with one to see for yourself.

I have a buddy who is a die-hard Eotech 557 fan, never really liked Aimpoints that much. Had similar concerns as you about the T-1. He was playing around with mine this past weekend and said he was starting to change his mind!

Personally, I used to like the larger format Aimpoints a little better because it's a little more forgiving but after running my T-1 through my latest carbine course I'm sold on it. The tradeoffs are worth it for me, and honestly even with all the dynamic movement & multiple positions & barricades & etc etc I honestly don't recall ever wondering where my dot went.

You spent $100 because of paint finish? Why not just paint it and spend the money on ammo?
