The H1/T1 is not as fast as a larger Aimpoint on an AR, for ME anyway. I'm much faster, with a larger variant, as far as finding the dot in awkward shooting positions. I've found that this is somewhat mitigated by mounting the optic further back on the rail.
For right now I've relegated my 2 Micros to AK use on an Ultimak. This is one of the ideal uses for the sight. It really streamlines the AK setup, and I don't have any issues with finding the dot. I feel like a dinosaur, as I've still got 2 C3 mounted AK's.
The other use I've found for the Micro's is rail equipped shotguns, I used one on a slug gun to kill 3 deer this past season.
In the end, it's all personal preference. The H1/T1 is certainly the top pick for a lightweight rifle.
I prefer the T1 on AKs and lever guns.
The only thing I dislike is the way it looks on the mount, on the gun. Aesthetically, I would prefer a cantilever mount that got the optic out "over the gap" on an AR.
Otherwise, it's lighter and smaller then the ML2 and M2 that I dearly love.
Some people are just drawn to the square EoTech while others are just drawn to the round Aimpoint.
Try one out before you buy, if you can.
I would like to try one on my shotgun...if it co witnessed with my ghost rings...
I bought a T1 or my AK and now I must have one for my new light weight AR. The T1 is only 30 bucks more and i would rec unless you are sure you will never buy a NVD to go with it.
Just picked up a TI with ADM mount from Grant. I have it set up for absolute co-witness and have no problem finding the dot when shooting NTCH. I have only used it from the bench so far and will be interested to see how it performs during training while on the move.

I just ordered the same thing yesterday morning.
I tried typing in the invoice # on the site and it didn't work. Never got a shipping confirmation. I tried calling a couple dozen times today to see if it shipped.
I'm not in a hurry or anything, I just have a UPS guy that plays "hide the box" in my garage. I had a package in there for a month one time before I discovered it.
So now I try to watch for packages as they come.
I have an M2 and an ML2 on various guns and like them. I just finished a "demo" upper with a T-1 on it and used it at the EAG/PR class I was at in March. Never had an issue with finding the dot except when going prone and trying to use the magazine as a mono-pod. Then I just had to get my head down more (fat belly and mags on the chest). When I sat oin my elbows in a more traditional (but slightly higher) prone position there was no issue at all.
I really like the T-1. Will be putting T-1 or H-1 on other things I do (both AR and not). I would like a T-1 on my lever action Puma 480 Ruger as well (well, I want to get a blued Puma 480 since my nice stainless one with the hi-viz sights is kind of pretty)
The T-1 does look a bit "funny" sitting up on a mount but look is a small amount of my worry on a fighting firearm
(as an aside, everyone at the class except one guy had an Aimpoint of some sort. The other guy had an EO Tech as that is what he was issued by his dept. The first morning PR talked about various sighting systems including Aimpoints and EO-Turds as he called them (he said that in most classes they would get the EO Techs crapping out at some time in the class). Sure enough, that one guy who had the EO Tech had it crap out and stop working partway through the first day. He had to borrow one of PR Aimpoints to finish the 3 days of class.)
