Wow guys I never meant to spark such conversationI think I was kinda wowed by the "cool" factor of the MSAR. I'm really happy I switched over to the Colt. I can go two ways with the ARs now and not have to change optics and stuff between one gun, I'll set one up for close and one up for not so close. I know some of you have lots of ARs but for me to have 2 is big, at least to me!

I understand value is important to some. Its only relevant if you plan on selling. If you want a good shooter, function beats a label. Noveske's seem to have more worth than Colt's. Prior to the AWB sunset, very few Colt's were available in the civvy market. As bad as Bushmaster's may be, they did more to expand the popularity of the AR15 then Colt. Kimber and Springfield Armory did more to expand the popularity of the 1911 then Colt. Ruger and Uberti did more to expand the popularity of the Colt single action Peacemaker then Colt. Many experts claim the quality of DSA FAL's surpass the quality of the original FN FAL's. Being an Elitist about having a genuine original gets old pretty fast. The Sabre/Steyr may be worth more then the MSAR, but so far no one has any definitive technical proof that they are superior. The only real Steyr AUG's are the pre 1989 original imports. I see no sense raining on some guys parade.
I have the STG 556 and a Colt 6721 and don't regret buying either one.
