    There is no detent to retain the sight in position. Instead, the sight housing is drilled to allow insertion of a pin that extends between the hole and the four relief cuts in the front sight post base.
    I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't get it. What holds the front sight post in place if there's no detent?

    Thanks for the great pics and thorough post.

    Sorry about that, I left out a pic with the pin installed. Until I get one, replace the yellow line with a spring pin and that might help. Two pins are provided, one 3/32x1/2, the other 3/32x3/8. Choose the one appropriate to sight adjustment height. Do note, the tabs on the base of the front sight post are not in correct alignment for the pin insertion in that pic, but would be when the FSP face is square to the shooter. Hope that helps.

    Approximately six slots when mounted as far forward and rearward as possible.

    I had several questions about potential issues, and having them in hand helped a lot. A few questions remain, that will be answered as they get used and abused.

    See post above for the pin illlustration. That will help stabilize the FSP.

    [QUOTE=Skintop911;339692]A few more pics...

    Is the sight mounted in the farthest back slot in this pic? If so does the sight folded down interfere much with pulling back the charging handle? Thanks.

    Yes, first slot. No interference with the charging handle.

    I've been surprised at how well these are doing.

    I really, really want a set or two of these... my only concern is that they will not co-witness with an Eotech 517.A65... which is going on my go to urban gun. Anyone know whether they will or not? I'm concerned that they are too low.
    Remember, the Founding Fathers reason for the 2nd Amendment... to combat tyranny. Sadly, when people discuss the 2nd Amendment, the opponents erroneously think it was meant to stand alone... it HAS a preamble:

    "...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security..."

    I've mounted an Eotech between them, and they appear to be a true cowitness with the OEM mount. IIRC, the Eotech was a 512. No fancy measurements, just a tired MkI eyeball. I'll try to add a photo of the MBUS/Eotech combination.

    I didn't spend any time shooting that setup, as the owner of the gun the Eotech fell off needed it back.

    That would be great... I really see promise in these and would like to run them... I bolted up some of the MI BUIS units only to find they were too low. I'd like to keep this build as light as possible less the mid profile barrel/pig.
