i guess jeff cahill with tango read this, as HE contacted me, i told him i think it was the gun, not the mags, [shot fine in a colt, smith, and noveske]---but he had me send them back anyway and even replaced the one i had given away. you might have a problem with the mag,,you DAMN sure don't have any problems with tango's customer service.......[thank you jeff,, outstanding!!!] haven't tried the gen 2 tango's yet, will try to this week, and report. not expecting any problems.

If the fact that the LULA works great as an unloader and a thumb saver for extended training sessions on all of my other mags makes it tactical & sexy, then that is just an added bonus. Sweet!

this has been addressed. the latest ARC mag configuration addresses the cartridge tilt issue and the bullet tips no longer nose down when the mag is fully loaded. i just tried the LULA and it works for both loading and unloading, whereas it didn't on the previous version(s). by the way, the StripLULA works very well on all my mags - i prefer it to the original LULA.
the pmag went through similar running changes/revisions - most products will as time goes on.

All this is yet another reason why magazines should be considered disposable components subject to frequent replacement.

The funny thing about the UMT is that it's kinda like buying a Sham Wow or a Slap Chop. A guy was laughing at me for buying one in one of my classes.... But then he asked to borrow it later that day.

So, at a higher cost than the PMags, what is there to gain? Not a flame on any product or company, competition is good, but am I missing something?

Im happy to hear that they have addressed the loading/unloading issues. That is what a good company does.

The materials used are much higher quality.

The ARC mag can be dropped loaded on the feed lips at least twice as many times as any other polymer AR magazine in existence - and far more than any metal mag - before it becomes nonfunctional.

Do you have a link to the test results? What other "plastic" mags were tested? Do you know what metal mags were tested against the ARCs. Were the mags fully loaded or were they "loaded" to less than capacity. Did "they" whoever they is, test one mag or several for their results? Typically the companies that I deal with in my line of work test 50 to 100 units to get a realistic test data, they don't count on one or two to represent the performance of their product. I would love to see the test results, that would clear up a lot of questions.
    Peace, Jerry

I have personally destroyed over 50 various AR-15 magazines of the following types:

    ARC
    Lancer
    PMag (07/08, 03/09, and 04/09 MRev)

    CProducts SS
    CProducts Aluminum
    HK Steel
    USGI Aluminum

If you want to offer donations I will gladly destroy your mags. I have less than 15 working 5.56 AR mags at the moment, including 5 nonfunctional MSAR XM30 E4 mags.

Here is the ARC drop test video.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf2BkTYKNwc

Every single PMag I dropped lost a feedlip if it was cold, or had a huge split down the back if not cold. The MRev and the 03/09 non MRev went one drop without breaking. They both broke on the second drop.

All mags were loaded to 30 rounds for the drop testing. Brass cased ammo. All dropped from the same height onto concrete.
