I think they are the same. After seeing your post, I went out to the shop and put the commercial mag into a POF gen 3 lower I have on the bench. No issues at all.

I may be wrong, but I thought some of the early POF lowers had magwell clearance issues. Could that be part of the issue?

I have no clue. My POF lower is relatively new (2008); it has accepted all magazines so far including Lancers and PMags, although some PMags were tight. I tried only one of five ARC magazines that I received; maybe it is an individual mag variation. I won't be able to check till Monday night, though.

The lowers I was thinking of would be older than 2008. I'm curious as to what the issue is. Please post up when you find out more.

The magazine body will break before that bond does.

I got mine in the mail today. Magpul has nothing to worry about in my opinon. They seem sturdy but you can not put ranger plates on them, no dust covers, no ability to really clean the magazine. Sorry but I am not buying more. I ordered 3 for the mag collection and that is enough.

My sentiments exactly. Nice mags, but I will take P-mags over these any day.

I just got my Arc magazine in on Thursday. Im impressed.

Very well made. Fits all of my receivers including my Gen 2 POF.
The mag drops free everytime out of all of my recievers.

Loaded to 30 rounds and no malfunctions.

Ive had a few small issues with magpul ( nothing major ) but I think that I will start getting more of these ARC's. I like.

Well done TangoDown! These will be my magazine of choice!
Now start making them in 6.8 x 43.

I find it very interesting that the ARC's feedlips are that much thicker than the PMAGS feedlips. I have always wondered why Magpul didn't offer thicker feedlips on the PMAGs. It just doesn't make sense to make them thinner than they could be, especially when dealing with polymers. I suppose I could of course be wrong, and the feedlips for some reason do not need to be thicker.
However, I like the fact that TD went with thicker feedlips on the ARC... We'll see how they perform I guess.
I'm personally waiting for the FDE and Clear/Smoke ones. Anyone know when these will be hitting the market? Is TD following suite like Magpul did, and offering one color at a time??? I'm hoping they won't wait until LAST to offer the smoke/clear ones. Those will be nice.
I'll at least pick up a few to test in the SCAR, but honestly, I'll be more interested in the new EMAG (E= "European") for the SCAR.

Oh, BTW, what is this "MSAR XM30" mentioned above all about? Anyone? I guess some Googling is in order, but does anyone care to enlighten on this new? product?

No need to clean the magazine, beyond this.

Sorry that is a poor test compared to what I see up here in Alaska with fine river silt, mud, snow , ice etc. I will not be buying more until they change the design so it can be cleaned.
