    Gentlemen,

How often are you cleaning your mags? I have been deployed to 3 different continents and more than half a dozen countries including a combat tour in Iraq and I don't recall that I've ever cleaned a magazine. Are you guys really cleaning them that often that this is an issue? I really think you're splitting hairs over this.

    Wash, rinse, repeat as necessary...

Same for me Stephen. Maybe I should clean them but I never have and never had a problem. I liked the PMags enough to get rid of all my HK mags in favor of them. I'm looking forward to trying the ARC mags soon. It seems like there are mixed reviews on the ARC mags but if they're like the rest of the stuff TD puts out, I'm sure I will like them just fine.

I also have never cleaned a mag, so thats a moot point to me. Its kinda like the top covers on PMAGS, I remove them when I get a mag, and never fool with it again.

I do however like the option of changing the floor plate to a Ranger plate, or something like that.

Tango Down makes the best VFG IMO, but these mags just don't appeal to me. I do know Tango Down does not put out junk, so i'm sure the mags will be reliable. I do believe Magpul finaly got the 5.56 magazine right, and it will take something major to beat the PMAG.

    Time will tell.

I shoot handguns competitively and cleaning mags and replacing springs is part of life. Of course this isn't life and death and I've never been deployed anywhere except in burning buildings with a fire hose. I like Tango Down products but I don't see anything with their new mags that would cause ME to spend more money for what's clearly a throw away design. Now if one of my mag bodies is damaged guess what, I'll throw that bad boy away but from my experience in shooting I've never had to replace a mag body, just springs, followers and base plates. So with my experience and for my shooting they just don't fit a need. YMMV
    Peace, Jerry

Depends on where your at. In Bethel they had this fine silt type sand everywhere and if you dropped your mag at the range after a speed load it was done until you took it apart and cleaned it.

CS springs are marketing BS. They are NOT better than stainless springs. This is easy to verify if you look at the engineering data or ask a real (non gun) spring company.

    Yeap.

I knew it when they first came onto the AR15 scene.

Tell me the story on CS springs vs stainless if you don't mind. I have no clue on this topic.

SS springs will take a set before CS springs do.

I've done testing, and I can prove it.

These look nice, however I have one question......

With that band around the middle, how well do the stact up and extract from mag pouches?
