I have a Noveske QD Plate and the Magpul ASAP. I prefer the Noveske QD, plus I don't like having the link rattling around on my ASAP when not hooked up to a sling.

Has anybody just cut the ASAP link off the slidebar, and run their hook that way? Sounds like it should work like the standard sling loop on the QD piece that pops into the Noveske end plate.

The bail won't go through the rail. Well maybe you could force it but it would be so tight you'd lose all thoughts of flexibility and quickness of movement.

I have been using the ASAP on my work gun. I carry it in a vehicle with the stock fully collapsed, which causes the ring to bind and not work very well. If you have a standard M4 stock, I guess you could cut it to make it work. I don't think I can modify my CTR since the latch is on the end.

It is a minor issue, but still an issue at times. The Noveske may be another option...

I just installed the Noveske end plate to replace a GG&G slotted end plate. My issue with the slotted end plate is that my fore finger rubs the protrusion on the end plate when working the charging handle.

The Noveske end plate solves that issue.
