Range report and MB556K brake question

I would not worry about it at all and if it ever does become a problem, a new RE is 35 bucks.
Just an update from the range today... the LMT must have needed to wear that portion of the RE down and it was just that tiny bit of drag that was making it short stroke on just about every round.... I ran over 50 rounds today of Ultramax 52 grain, old LC 84 55 grain military, TAP 75 grain , and PMC Bronze.... they all ran ...not one stoppage and full lock back on all empty mags... I wish it didnt have to knock off that metal due to BCG tilt... but now she is running like a champ and upon inspection all looks just fine.. other than the bright shiney spot... I'll keep track and see if it grows or stays the same... I am just glad it is running well now.

Thanks for all your info and inputs everyone...I am glad you guys are around! by the way... one more question... I bought a surefire MB556K brake and wondered about the number of shims it came with .. is there a minimum set to go with like the thickest one first the combinations of the others until I get it indexed right? how have you guys installed yours? Did you index at a hand tight fit stop at 4 oclock position and torque to 6 oclock ?

    Thanks

    Swirl.

    MK556B

I used the stock LMT crush washer and it torqued down perfectly... I tried every combo of the Surefire washer set and one combo was extremly close to perfect index but the stock LMT crushwasher and Rockset (fully degreased both barrel and Brake) should do the trick.
I did not have a barrel vice so I pulled the barrel out of the upper and put it between 2 leather gloves on my 6 inch bench vice and carefully locked it down to uninstall and install....worked good with no marring of the barrel.
I dont plan on mounting a can on this one so I should be good...am I right? ...Thoughts?
