PWS / Addax - Gas Piston Upper

Would anyone care to post reviews? Pics? Any information for or against this Gas Piston Upper? Hard to find anything great and even harder to find anything bad about this system. Information would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I received one about 6 or 7 weeks ago to test with the Anti Tilt Buffers. With my daughter getting sick and other personal things, I havent had a chance to shoot it yet. I can say for sure that the fit and finish of this upper is absolutely beautiful. Chris uses top tier components and installs his kits with his own strict methodical process. I can assure you, he will not skimp on anything. An excellent guy building an equally excellent product, one of ADDAX Tacticals/Chris' uppers will be my next purchase for sure.

I'll post more after I shoot it and test a couple buffers.

    Hope that helps...

We have a couple of magazine review/article currently being written, the Addax Tactical Gas Piston Uppers utilizing the Excellent PWS Gas Piston System.

Militarymorons.com has conducted a review of our uppers and the PWS Gas Piston System.

Thanks Seth, redsox, & Chris. I look forward to reading those articles...

After my extensive review, I have placed the order. I will be sending Chris my upper as soon as I can find a box to put it in. I am interested in these anti-tilt buffers Seth is speaking of. I thought that was what the Op rod attached to the bolt was for. Doesnt that prevent the "tilt" issue most other gas piston systems are dealing with? Are these tilt buffers similar to H&K 416?

Chris, are we trying tilt buffers with the op rod attached to the bolt?

I have tested the anti-tilt buffer with the PWS system, and to be honest, we do not experience that much noticeable bolt tilt as it stands due to the fixed op-rod design, but the anti-tilt buffer helps to basically eliminate even the minimal tilt.

I am currently testing the anti-tilt buffer on 2 different (competitors) piston systems that have much more noticeable bolt tilt, and the anti-tilt buffer works like a champ!

So, will there be an upgrade in the future for the anti-tilt buffers? If you have a retro fitted upper. Will you be able to upgrade?

The buffers are drop-in, along with a proprietary spring. Theres only one dimension needed from the owner. If that dimension cannot be aquired by the owner, the carrier can be sent to me to be measured.
As it stands right now, this is the projected mode of operation.
    Thanks for your interest,
    Seth H.

When you say there is only one dimension, are you referring to a commercial or mil spec? I am not that educated on buffers. Would you care to explain a little?

    thanks
