Hey guys,
I was recently reading that the 3 inch .45s lose about 80-90 fps vs 5 inch guns. Has anyone chronographed a 3.5 to see what the general difference is?

If you aren't armed when you take a dump in your own home then your opinion on what is a practical daily carry weapon isn't interesting to me.
Kimber 5"
S+B 230gr. 826fps.
Fed HS 230gr. 904fps.
6.0 gr. 231 200gr. LSWC 931fps
Kimber Procarry 4"
S+B 230gr. 790fps.
Fed HS 230gr. 851fps.
6.0 gr. 231 200gr. LSWC 869 fps
S+B down 36 fps.
Fed down 53 fps.
200 gr. reloads down 62 fps.
Gringop
That's a lot for an inch when you figger you're only starting out with 800-900 fps.
